Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act ( MGNREGA)
There is an Employment Guarantee Scheme implemented in India, which was enacted by the legislation on 7 September 2005. The scheme provides 100 days of employment on demand to adult members of any rural family (jobcard holder) every financial year.
Beneficiary:
The main eligibility conditions for beneficiary-oriented works - 1. Scheduled Castes, 2. Scheduled Tribes, 3. BPL families, 4. Women headed families, 5. Physically handicapped families, 6. Land Reform beneficiaries, 7. Forest Rights Leaseholder, 8. Indira Housing Beneficiary 9. Small marginal farmers are benefited to the job-holder family of the said class. Special - The said Kapil Dhara is for other works other than the well. Apart from being in the above category for Kapil Dhara well, it is a necessary condition that the beneficiary family should have a minimum land of 01 acre and a maximum of 2.5 acres, apart from this, other beneficiaries will not be eligible for Kapil Dhara well.

How To Apply
For unskilled labor – Jobcard holder family residing in rural area can demand employment by giving written application or orally to Gram Panchayat.
To take advantage of beneficiary-oriented work – The job card holder family residing in the rural area can apply to the Gram Panchayat to take advantage of the beneficiary-oriented works under the scheme on the basis of the above eligibility.
